The Abenaki Nation of Koasek is part of the greater Wabanaki community which
was made up of the various people and villages of Koasek, Odanak, Wolinak,
Missisquoi, Ossipee, Pennacook, Winnipesaukee, Sokoki, Winooski, Amaseconti,
Kennebec, Norridgewock, Penobscot, Pigwacket, Wewenoc, Saco, Passamaquoddy,
Maliseet, Mi’kmaq. Our homeland for thousands of years was located in what
is now known as the states of Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts
and the provinces of Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.(Map

Today the Abenaki Nation of Koasek works closely with our Wabanaki brethrens
and related people to ensure our cultural survival.
